Ross Thurlow
After graduating B.Surv (Otago) B.E. (Auckland) Ross Thurlow commenced work in Dunedin and Central Otago as a Surveyor and Engineer. In the late 1980’s Ross worked in the UK on high profile projects including the Channel Tunnel and London Docklands redevelopment. After working for a Territorial Authority and in a private practice, Ross commenced the practice of Thurlows in 1994. Ross is the sole Engineering Examiner for the NZIS for professional entry examinations. Ross was a keen runner representing Otago, NZ Universities and Middlesex in cross country. He now socially jogs and plays golf.
Mark Hatten
Originally from Wellington Mark graduated B.Surv (Otago) and commenced work for a multi disciplined consulting firm in Wellington before heading to Auckland to commence a practice office for his Wellington employer. Mark subsequently joined Thurlows where he is Principal. Mark is an expert in Resource Consent applications, project team co-ordination and legal (title) surveying. Mark has a keen interest in sport and coaches both cricket and rugby at junior levels.
Dave Murray
After several years working for a land development company in his home town of Auckland, Dave headed to Canterbury University where he completed a B.E. On his return from the south, Dave worked as a Structural Engineer. Dave joined Thurlows several years ago and has predominantly been involved in Structural Engineering. Dave has great analytical skills and undertakes research and reporting on structural and civil engineering projects also. Dave is a keen boat restorer in his spare time.
